Welcome to Waterfront

We are truly blessed with some of the most beautiful islands in the world surrounding Charleston! If you are looking for a waterfront home, this is the place to be! We are surrounded by the Isle of Palms, Sullivan's Island, Folly Beach, Kiawah Island and Seabrook Island.

The Isle of Palms is considered a South Carolina coastal "barrier island" and is a seven mile long island. It has a community of over 5,000 consisting of both vacation home owners and year round home owners, with beachfront homes, local restaurants/shops and resorts. Isle of Palms is thought to be over 25,000 years old and was first inhabited by the Seewee Indians.

Sullivan's Island is an area of 3.4 square miles and the site of a major battle, Fort Sullivan (now named Fort Moultrie) on June 28, 1776. You can tour the fort that still stands. The island is connected to Mount Pleasant by the Ben Sawyer Bridge and to the Isle of Palms. It has a population of over 2,000 and is considered a very affluent suburb of Charleston with both vacation home owners and year round home owners. The main street of the island is home to several wonderful restaurants and small shops.

Folly Beach is an "eclectic" beach community where surfing is the norm! Folly Beach is known to Charlestonians as the "Edge of America". The population is over 2200 with an island area of 18.9 square miles off of James Island and just 11 miles south of downtown Charleston. It's a fun, upbeat community where there are many open deck bars/restaurants with live music and several small specialty "beachy" type shops. It too is a mix of both year round owners and vacation home owners.

Kiawah Island is considered Charleston's 5 star PGA resort! The next PGA will be played here in 2021. Kiawah boasts over 10 miles of beautiful white beaches where the dolphins love to strand feed. There is perfectly preserved maritime forests, sand dunes, marshes and an oasis for wildlife ~ deer, alligator, bobcat, seabirds and sea turtles ~ absolutely stunning, unspoiled beauty awaits your arrival. Besides being home to the PGA, Kiawah offers 5 star restaurants, shopping, tennis and voted the #2 best beaches in the world. It is a private and gated community of over 1800 population of both vacation home owners and year round home owners. The island offers wonderful home and villa vacation rentals besides it's own hotel. Kiawah was named after the Kiawah Indians who led the English colonists to settle at Charlestowne Landing in 1670.

Seabrook Island has much to offer the outdoor enthusiast! Besides having two championship golf courses, it offers a tournament grade tennis center where several tournaments are played throughout the year, fitness and aquatics complex and a full service equestrian center. And oh by the way, it too has over four miles of unspoiled ocean and riverfront beaches!! Seabrook Island is a gated community and boasts similar to Kiawah Island luscious flowering trees and forests, sand dunes, marshes and a wildlife oasis. There are no public restaurants or shops on the island but located adjacent to the island is Freshfields Shopping Community with cafe's, restaurants, hotels and specialty shops.

I hope this gives you an idea of the many wonderful beach areas surrounding Charleston! When you are ready for island living ~ please contact me! I look forward to your arrival!
